Watching the boy fast asleep tucked in his bed at 1030pm. He has adjusted well since we moved out of our home, set up home in a room in my mom’s house, and co-sleeping has been the only option since.
As a family, we have undergone so much changes in the last 2 months, but I feel heartened that despite these changes with the environment and in routine, he seemed to have taken it all in his stride.
Could it be the assurance of knowing that hb and I are always next to him in this room, and that he is able to reach out for my arm in the middle of the night and have my hand to hold on to whenever he sleeps?
Maybe all it takes to give a child courage to take on the changes in the different seasons of life, is the assurance that his parents will always be there to hold his hand.
beautiful sentiments behind this picture. I do feel that children start off with no fear of anything.. and most of the times, it is the adults that instil fear in them to not do this or that. Sometimes it is best for their own safety, but sometimes, I believe they need to make the mistakes and learn for themselves.

Yes its so true what you have mentioned. Sometimes we need to keep our fears in check – and make sure that we do not influence our kids with it
Nice shot! I practise co-sleeping too (not much of other options when I’m stuck in a foreign land) and my girl always tugs at my hair when she needs to feel a sense of security. Guess we really are the ones who can provide them with assurance, at least when they are this young! =)

Yeah, I guess there will be a time down the road when he gets his own room that I will get to miss this experience of co-sleeping with my child
My girl sleeps in my room too because:
1) we stay with in laws so no room for her
2) I’m the only one who can put her to sleep
3) give my mum in law a good night’s rest
So far so good! She sleeps best with us anyway haha

Totally agree about our kids sleeping best when they are with us. Previously when we still had a room for Kyle, he used to wake up 2-3 times a nite. But ever since he started sleeping with us, he just naturally slept through the night as well
I love it when they sleep… for so many different reasons 😀
C co-sleeps with us too, and so far – that’s the way Mummeh likes it.
P.S: I submitted my link… but #5 is like waaaaaay at the right hand corner, out of range! Haha!

Yeah, they look so content and secure when they are sleeping and I am also starting to appreciate this time when we have to co-sleep
