I have been bitten by the making-of-handmades 'bug' lately. Feeling more inspired than usual to start on plenty of projects.
It started off with the smallest softie that I have made so far at 4.5 inches, a birthday gift for my sister who is hard to shop for.
The little giraffe on Kyle's 'ba-ba' palms
This could likely be the start of the making of the menagerie of mini animal softies, will have to see how the handmade mood brings me to.
I have also recently completed a home aesthetic improvement project for a couple of awful-looking ceiling fixtures at my new home; I was enthusiastic to take it on as a challenge, as I believe that there is always something anyone can do to improve the aesthetics in a home, all it takes is that little bit of inventiveness and effort. Photos to come soon.
Hello Rachel, landed on your blog and am so taken by this little toy that you made! It is really adorable. Someone gave me a Japanese craft book sometime back with instructions to make little felt animals like that. This post just reminded me that I own such a book!
I’m adding you to my blogroll and hope to pop by again to see what you’ve done with your home! We’re in a midst of a mini redo right now too.
Aaaww… that is so lovely!!!
