It is beginning to feel a little like Christmas

We have been pretty much homebound the last few weeks. The nights have been tough as the boy has been waking up so often, and I turn into a walking zombie the next day. I still cannot fathom why he can't sleep through the night, permanently.

We have also taken a break from home-learning the past few weeks and all K have been doing is play, play and play. We have also dabbled into some Christmas crafts on certain days to get into the mood for Christmas, and baking…Apple Pies have been regular feature on our desert selection at home.

K is always very enthusiastic to lend a helping hand whenever we make an apple pie. I think it is also the main reason why the apple pie never fails to taste extremely delicious for him 😉

As for the preparation for Christmas?

Christmas decorations at home to the minimum, the only thing 'Chrismassy' at this moment is the felt advent calendar that I have made for K (I am just not too thrilled about taking down Christmas decorations after the season ends). The prominent thing thing I have at home at this moment, are trails of fabric, felt and strands of threads around the house.

I finally started on working on some items with felt and made K his first 'toy'; beanbags!

And some felties that I have recently made for gifts for Christmas…

And a stripey little one that will be an applique on a t-shirt…

I really do need to step up on my handmade production of items. There's less than 12 days to Christmas!

Haha…I have not much of any culinary skills to talk about. I depend a lot on recipes, so far the recipes I have used have been quite reliable. As for the feltie stuff, its easy these days with the ideas available online and the excess of craft books available out there…anyone can do craft these days!

  2. Talking about sleeping thru the night, my 3-year-old Jaden is also still waking up once or twice on MOST nights. I’m also unable to understand why he still can’t sleep thru at this age.

Those felt crafts you made are lovely! Great skills and creativity you have.

I was beginning to think I was the only one out there with a 3 year old that does not sleep through the night :( Maybe the boys are over-stimulated in the day?

Thanks Ing. It’s easy these days to do craft or sewing…so many free ideas and tutorials online to follow.

  3. love the craft! multi-talented.

Thanks dear…but the truth is, no talent is needed to do this craft. Just have to spend more time online searching for ideas and tutorials.

  4. have to add.. my fav is the kitty cat! I want one!!
